These torsionally stiff couplings serve for the connection of two shaft ends compensating for angular and parallel misalignment as well as axial backlash. They are used for the backlash-free and precise angular drive of:
-potentiometers / angle encoders
-resolvers / transducers
-low powered drives
The mounting of the coupling into the shaft ends is achieved frictionally by means of a clamping hab. This sort of shaft-hub connection enables easy dismantling of the coupling. No keys and keyways are necessary, and there is less built-in space, etc. The shaft borings are finished to customer’s specifications. Please quote them.
The size of the coupling should be selected so that the nominal torque is greater than the highest torque to be regularly transmitted. (Acceleration or load torque). The shaft misalignments must not exceed the previously mentioned values. Otherwise this will limit the working life of the coupling.
hub material: Aluminium alloy
brass in case of MKJ 15 and MKJ 30
bellows materail: high-grade steel
